Behaviour

Wellington Eagles Primary Academy pupils will learn how to work hard, study well and to be positive members of a multicultural society.

We aim to prepare them for a future of success and wellbeing, whatever they choose to do in their lives.

We expect the highest standards of behaviour. Pupils and staff should show respect to each other at all times and, with this ethos, a strong and cohesive school community is created and sustained.

Our goals for behaviour at Wellington Eagles Primary Academy are:

Pupils demonstrating exceptional behaviour at all times.

Pupils knowing how to keep themselves and each other safe.

Above average levels of attendance.

For exceptional behaviour of pupils to be recognised by parents, carers and the wider community.

Strong support from home is vital to success. Education works best with a strong link between home and school and we are fortunate to have extremely supportive parents and carers. We are an Attachment aware school and believe a relational approach really makes a difference.  Through developing stakeholder’s understanding of behaviour as communication and enabling our pupils to understand the consequences of their behaviours through restorative justice approaches we make our school a safe and nurturing environment.

If you have any concerns regarding behaviour that you wish to discuss please speak to the class teacher in the first instance by contacting the office or emailing admin@wellingtoneagles.org.uk.
